Who we are
This website is operated by CRYPTIC BLOOM LLC, a New York business publishing adult romance as Cryptic Bloom. Contact info@crypticbloombooks.com with questions about this notice or your information.
When you contact us
The contact form asks for your name, email address, subject, and message. We use these details to respond and handle your inquiry. Messages are sent through our hosting provider’s mail service to our inbox. Our website does not add a separate database of contact submissions. A short-lived, hashed representation of your network address helps limit repeated submissions. Please do not send payment information or sensitive personal documents through the form.
Newsletter subscriptions
We use MailerLite to collect subscriptions and deliver our newsletter. When you subscribe, your email address and subscription-related information are processed by MailerLite. Its forms and delivery service may process technical information and email engagement information, depending on the form and campaign settings. You can unsubscribe using the link in a newsletter or contact us for help. See MailerLite’s privacy information.
Hosting, usage information, and security
Northwest Registered Agent provides our website hosting. The hosting environment includes usage-tracking and analytics components, security tools, and caching. These services support operation, performance, and protection of the website. Technical information such as requests to the site may be processed by our hosting provider. We have not added Google Analytics or an advertising pixel to the redesign.
Cookies and browser storage
The adult-content notice stores your confirmation in this browser under the local-storage key “cb-adult.” It remains until you clear the site’s stored data. WordPress uses cookies for signed-in administration. Embedded services may use their own cookies or storage under their policies. You can manage cookies and stored data in your browser; blocking them may affect embedded forms or other features.
Book links and purchases
Our book purchase links take you to Amazon. Amazon processes purchases, payment details, and delivery under its own policies. This site currently has no direct checkout. Our Amazon purchase links include an affiliate tracking ID. If you follow a link, Amazon may use cookies and process technical and purchase information to attribute qualifying purchases under its own privacy and cookie policies. We may receive a commission; we do not receive your Amazon payment details. See our affiliate disclosure.
How long information is kept
Messages and business correspondence are retained as needed to respond, handle follow-up, and meet applicable recordkeeping obligations. Newsletter information is kept to manage your subscription and honor unsubscribe requests. Service providers apply their own retention and security practices to technical records. We review deletion requests against any information we must keep for legal or security reasons.
Your choices
You can choose not to submit a form, unsubscribe from newsletters, and clear this site’s browser storage. You may ask us about personal information you have provided, or request access, correction, or deletion, by emailing info@crypticbloombooks.com. We may need to verify a request before acting. Rights, exceptions, and complaint options depend on the laws applicable to you.
Sharing and processing
We use service providers for hosting, email, and newsletter delivery. Information may be processed in countries where those providers operate. We may disclose information where required by law or needed to address abuse or protect rights. We do not sell information submitted through our contact form or newsletter.
Adult readers and changes
This website is intended for adults aged 18 and over. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact us. We will update this notice when our services or practices change and display the revised date above.
